Sony has clarified that only PlayStation 5 users will be allowed to send voice chat recordings for moderation purposes. Sony also assured that voice recordings will not be monitored.
The voice chat feature does not actively monitor or record your conversations. It is strictly reserved for reporting online abuse or harassment. Turning off voice data collection does not affect your ability to report or be reported by other players over voice chat.
