Damn how long is this forest, Bellamy thought as it seemed like he was busy walking around in circles. He stopped at a tree placing a hand down to rest as he took a swig of his water pouch. He stood there for a minute or two debating going back to Octavia or continue looking for Clarke. There are two places he believes Clarke would be & with that in mind, Bellamy made up his mind to just go looking Clarke. Not because he didn't care for her sister. It's just nothing can be done until she wakes up & both Jackson & Raven has a walkie talkie. So does Maid, as well as him included, & so does Clarke.
Bellamy stopped again briefly this time not for a break but to debate silently as if whether or not to try to contact Clarke through the walkie talkie. But chose against it as he didn't know when he might really need the walkie talkie to get a hold of Clarke for real & would need her to answer. Bellamy signed cursing the devils below & gods above because as soon as he took that second step, he was forced to stop again but this time not on his own accord as he heard not only Echo's voice but Raven voice too calling out for Clarke. On instinct Bellamy waited until their voices got closer before he decided to click his walkie talkie but not say anything as he listened to Raven's voice coming through the walkie talkie...
“Clarke please please if that’s you say something I need to talk to you about Octavia.”
That sent off alarms in his head as he wastws no time in doing a one eighty turn following Raven's though it's a bit comforting to know everyone can hear on the walkie talkie it was also a bit unnerving to say the least less than two hours ago Clarke performed surgery on his sister, so as the medic in charge she should be concerned shouldn't she be.
"Oh, sorry I wasn- Bellamy?" Raven said rubbing her forehead as she bumped right into Bellamy as Echo put her hands up.
"I wasn't following you. I'm not a crazy ex."
"Ex?" Raven uttered looking between the two of them.
"NOT NOW! I HEARD YOU SAY SOMETHING ABOUT OCTAVIA! YOU KNOW MY SISTER REMEMBER HER DON’T YOU? WHY DO YOU NEED CLA-" "Whoa, Bellamy take a chill pill. There are no complications. Octavia woke up a lot sooner than everyone thought." "That's good right?" Bellamy asked. "Yeah, it's great," Raven replied. "But Octavia wants to see the prisoner & but Jackson & Gabriel both agree she should get Clarke’s permission to move. Octavia agreed." "I don't want to bring Hope back to the tent at the risk she attacks Octavia again Bell. I may not like your sister but that doesn't mean I want her dead," Echo explained once Raven was done talking. "Then let's go, I was going to look for Clarke anyways."
"This is as far as you got?" Echo chuckled, Bellamy doesn’t know why he’s explaining himself, but he is, "I turned back around once I heard my sist-"
"hey, you don't need to explain to us," Raven told him, “Let’s just get to Clarke."
"Do you have any idea where she is?" Bellamy asked Raven, "my idea was to just check everywh-" "Gosh, you're so helpless sometimes," Raven sighed patting Bellamy on his shoulder. "Gabriel believes Clarke might be in Josephine's roo-" Raven & Bellamy both stopped their conversation by Echo's voice, she sounded spooked as both of them turned to Echo who was just pointing saying there was a fire somewhere.
Despite neither Bellamy nor Raven smelling smoke when they both turned their heads back, they did see the smoke in the sky & by the color it was indeed smoke. Bellamy didn't have the time to wonder when on earth did Echo become so terrified of fire as he quickly & hastily turned to both women Raven "are you coming or not?" Raven nodded her, before flashing her eyes to Echo then back to Bellamy, "what about Echo?" Raven asked as she heard her own voice hitch wondering why she was suddenly nervous even her hands started to feel a bit sweaty too. "Don't you think someone should warn Jackson & Gabriel that there might be a fire?" Bellamy spoke with what seemed to be with little emotions, "even if the fire isn't in the forest, it could still spread. We don't know how bad it is or where it is either," Bellamy went on to continuing explaining, "then there's the prisoner. Regardless of what she did she doesn't deserve to burn to death."
"Even if Octavia had died?" Echo couldn't stop the words coming out of her mouth & quickly regretted it as soon as it left her lips.
Bellamy eyes widen yelling at not only Echo but Raven too telling them, "to do whatever the hell they want to do but not to follow him."
"What about Clarke?" Raven asked. Bellamy shook his head, "what about Clarke? don't pretend to care you both probably know where's she at & just trying to stall me. Keeping me from find Clarke, hoping she would self-destruct before I find her!" "That's not true, I care about Madi," Raven quickly shut her mouth at that confession. She would protect Clarke from even herself not because she considers Clarke a friend but because she has come to love Madi like a younger sister she never had & Clarke her mother was somewhat of a second mother to her too. “Yeah, you may care about Madi, but Clarke is human too. Do you care to tell me why you stood by & watch my ex-girlfriend nearly kill my best friend? Or better yet why you didn’t feel the need to tell me! Aren’t we’re supposed to be friends too?” Bellamy anger caught Raven off guard, she didn’t know how to respond instead she went with what came natural to her regardless of the reason behind it. "I'm coming too Bellamy," Raven told him firmly "look you can't stop me, I will just follow you." she continued before Bellamy could open his mouth. "Whether it's because of Madi or to honor Abby's memory it should count for something that I don't want her to die. You weren’t there to see Clarke with a damn gun to her head! Tears did fill my eyes when I found out Clarke had died yet again. Maybe we should call Clarke a co*ckroach instead of Murphy. How many times has Clarke defied death?" Raven chuckled a bit.
"Well, she is the commander of death," Echo interrupted the quick silence. Bellamy didn't say anything just took off running not caring if Raven was behind him or not.
Damn Raven was a lot closer than he thought as this was the second time she bumped straight into him, as he vaguely heard her saying ouch.
Sighing Bellamy stepped to the side but not looking behind him as he simply said, “I guess we know where the fire is coming from now.”
“Oh, my gosh is that the palace grounds?” Raven asked.
“Reyes,” Raven heard a voice saying calling out for her. She looked around. “Murphy,” she hissed out as he came rushing towards her picking up into a big hug.
“Yeah, good to see you to,” Raven replied, before asking what the heck happened to that place.
“My guess is Clarke-“ “Clarke?” Bellamy questioned grabbing Murphy’s arm, “where is she?” “No idea,” Murphy shrugged, “I’m not even entire sure she caused the fire, all I know Emori, Jordan & Miller & a few others went looking for Clarke after she walked out of the burning palace of Russell’s home.”
“Wait she was inside?” Raven asked, “did she get burned?”
It could explain why she didn’t respond to Raven’s call from the walkie talkie, Bellamy thought, before shaking his head. “Which way did Clarke go?”
“Aww, the king is worried about his princess?” Murphy asked. “Now isn’t the time for jokes. To be honest I wasn’t paying attention. After she announced that Russell was going to die tomorrow for his crimes. Clarke punched – well sucker punched me. Knocked to the ground. So, I sent Emori after her.”
“Why would Clarke punch you?” Bellamy asked.
“Are you’re kidding me Bellamy?” Raven snapped, “not only did Murphy know what Russell & his daughter was doing to Clarke. But he wanted to kill Clarke. Plus, he didn’t even put up a fight Russell killed Abby. You want someone to blame for Clarke trying to kill herself don’t look at Echo or I look at Murphy – Emori too! He’s lucky all he got was a punch in his face.” But both Raven & Bellamy’s anger had somehow subsided a bit upon seeing Murphy hunched overhands on his knees throwing up.
Panting, as he stood up, Murphy’s eyes were bloodshot as though he was crying but Raven & Bellamy knew that wasn’t the case.
“What do you mean Clarke tried to kill herself?” Murphy asked, “she tried it again? Damn it!”
Raven wasn’t sure if it was her or Bellamy’s breath hitch but she did see Bellamy’s hand balled up into a fist…
again again again kept repeating in Bellamy’s mind, this time it was Bellamy’s turn to throw up or so he thought but as he hunched over all he did was cough violently & roughly, before he finally stood up grabbing Murphy by the collar, demanding to know “what did he mean Clarke tried to kill herself again.”
